I’m Eliana McGlinchey, a graphic designer and photographer based in Michigan. After graduating in May 2025, I joined Grand Valley’s University Communications team as a graphic designer, where I create high-impact visual work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. My expertise spans website design, pre-press and print production, and vector illustration, with a strong focus on clarity, consistency, and brand alignment. I approach each project with a balance of creativity and strategy, ensuring that every design decision supports a larger communication goal.

As a photographer, I cover university events, campus landscapes, and student life, capturing authentic moments that reflect the energy of the community. I also support our team’s student photographers, helping guide direction and maintain visual standards across projects. As I continue to grow in my role, I am stepping into leading the visual direction of Grand Valley’s magazine, overseeing layout, photography, and overall design consistency. In this position, I help shape the publication’s aesthetic while ensuring each issue reflects the university’s brand and tells cohesive, engaging stories through design. Whether designing or behind the camera, I strive to craft visuals that connect, inspire, and leave a lasting impression.
